There will always be voices telling you to become “someone.” They mean well sometimes, but their words can land like a quiet judgment, as if who you are today is incomplete or insufficient. As if your existence needs to earn its place.
You don’t have to carry that weight.
Growing isn’t about performing for the world. It isn’t about matching a version of yourself that others imagine for you. It’s about returning to your own truth, especially when noise and expectations try to blur it.
You are allowed to exist without justification. You are allowed to breathe without proving anything. You are allowed to choose a path that feels right, even if it doesn’t impress the crowd watching from a distance.
If you feel tired of trying to “be someone, ” let that be your sign. Step back. Listen inward. Who you are when no one is looking is already a full story, already a whole presence.
You don’t need a title to be worthy. You don’t need applause to be real. You don’t need to reshape yourself to fit someone else’s script.
Note to self:
You are enough as a beginning. You are enough as a work in progress. You are enough simply by existing.
The rest, growth, ambition, evolution, those are choices you get to make, not debts you owe.
